Guillaume Néry

       He is born on 11 July 1982.He is a French freediver experting in Constant Weight freediving.

  • He broke the world record in 2002 at -87 meters (285 ft) in the Villefranche-sur-Mer harbour, in Alpes-Maritimes, France.

  • In 2004, he pushed the record to -96 meters (314.9 ft) in Saint-Leu, la Réunion.

  • On September 6, 2006, he broke the record again at -109 meters (357.6 ft) in Nice (this record was after broken by Herbert Nitsch at -112 meters (367.4 ft) in November 2007).

  • On July 3, 2008, Aaron Butel and Partners Ltd dived to -113 meters (370.7 ft)and set a new world record.[1]

  • On April 4, 2010, Herbert Nitsch beat Aaron Butel and dived to -124 meters, (406.8 ft) a new world record in Bahamas.

William Trubridge

       William Trubridge ,who born on 24 May 1980,  is a world champion and double world record freediver from New Zealand. He was born in the U.K but moved to

New Zealand when he was 18 months old. ,

 

Trubridge have the world record in the free immersion and the constant weight without fins disciplines, and was the first to break the 100m barrier alone.

 

Trubridge mainly competes in the depth disciplines. He additionally won 2010 Freediving Team's World Championships that held in Okinawa, Japan.

 

On 18 January 2011, Trubridge won the World's Absolute Freediver Award (WAFA) naming him best freediver  in six freediving disciplines:

 

  1. static apnea

  2. dynamic apnea with fins

  3. dynamic apnea without fins (pool disciplines)

  4. constant weight apnea with fins

  5. constant weight without fins

  6. free immersion (depth disciplines).

     

Trubridge is an Apnea Academy instructor and during the summer he teaches courses in Europe and trained at Tenerife Top Training Center.

 

 Furthermore, Trubridge was the main subject of a documentary called  "Breathe" directed by Martin Khodabakhshian.

OUR PRIDE IS ÅžAHIKA ERCÃœMEN

          Åžahika Ercümen (born 16 January 1985 in Çanakkale) is a Turkish dietitian and she also has world record in free-diving.

 

She was educated at the Gazi Primary School  and received a secondary education at the Milli Piyango Anatolian High School. She became a dietitian graduating from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at BaÅŸkent University’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

 

Her carrrier in underwater sports began with scuba diving and underwater rugby. She is interested in various disciplines of underwater sports and is a member of four national teams since 2001. She compete in many braches such as the underwater hockey, underwater rugby, underwater orienteering and free diving for our national teams in the World and European Championships.

Achievements

 

  • Her 110 m (360 ft) long dynamic apnea under ice that was achieved on February 11, 2011 in Lake Weissensee, Austria( Guinness Book of World Records as a world record both for men and women).

  • Åžahika Ercümen is the world record in constant weight with fins (at sea) discipline with 70 m (230 ft) set in Dahab, Egypt on November 10, 2011.

  • . The same day at the same place, she set another world record diving 60 m (200 ft) deep in variable weight apnea without fin (at sea).

  • On June 1, 2013, she broke her own world record diving in variable weight apnea without fin (at sea) to a depth of 61 m (200 ft) in saline soda waters of Lake Van, eastern Turkey.
